Future In Perspective joins new European project to promote sustainable urban green and blue spaces – Re(Natured) Cities approved for funding

We are delighted to announce that the Erasmus+ project focused on helping local municipalities adopt more sustainable practices in managing their urban green and blue spaces (UGBS) has been approved in Portugal.

Urban green and blue spaces such as parks, community gardens, riversides and wetlands are vital for enhancing local biodiversity, delivering ecosystem services, and strengthening cities’ climate resilience. They also play an important role in improving citizens’ well-being and in fostering a stronger connection between communities and their environment.

What the project will do

The project will:

  • Work closely with municipalities to explore existing policies, challenges, and opportunities for UGBS management.
  • Facilitate co-creation between municipalities, environmental experts, and local communities to design practical, locally grounded solutions.
  • Develop tailored and accessible learning resources and tools for municipalities, adult learners, and wider local populations.

Stay tuned as we share updates from this exciting new project which is due to start in October 2025.
